Olive (lat. Olea europaea)

Olive (lat. Olea europaea) is a type of low wood that comes from the eastern Mediterranean and belongs to the family (Oleaceae). An evergreen tree that grows in the Mediterranean. It is both a symbol of peace, fertility, abundance and dugovečnosti. Leaves are elliptical, with dark green face and silver-gray on the bottom and a short handle. In bloom, olive develops white flowers in clusters. The fruit is edible, rich in oil, which is drained using a pressure through various presses (cold processing), or isolated using hot water or steam. The oil is used in a diet as a food supplement, roasting, seasoning food and for medicinal purposes. In the past, used as fuel for lamps, for massage, as well as money, and for polishing diamonds. Olive wood has extremely good quality and it is used for very expensive furniture.
Olives are mostly produced in Greece, Turkey, Syria, Morocco, Egypt, Spain and Portugal.
